this artist’s book loosens through tightening and tightens through loosening. through a physical booklet, it disperses the components of a pure data automatonism sound patch across 6 pages, describing their operations through functions as you would find in a math textbook. the patch is loosened across pages, to tighten the readers’ understanding of it; the patch is tightened through a full viewing of the booklet, which has transparent pages, loosening (dispersing) the full nature of it.

by navigating to a https link at the back of the booklet, the sonic representation of the book concept, the output of the pure data patch, can be listened to. the project is loosened across the physical and digital planes, tightening its instructions through multi-sensorial input. the sound of the patch is loosened through panning, tightening around the listeners’ neck.

this is an instructional project on how to disperse towards/through convergence (how to loosen towards/through tightening).
